Russian Community Beatmapping Contest #5 - Критерии оценки и правила для членов жюри
The following document explains the judging procedure for “Russian Community Beatmapping Contest #5” as well as a list of rules each judge should follow. In case you are a participant of the contest, please take note of the following file in order to better understand how your work is being evaluated.
Do not participate in paid judging and results falsification.
Do not disclose any private information that you have access to. This includes, but not limited to:
Judges must not participate in the contest as beatmap creators or competitors.
Judges must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
In order to ensure fairness and transparency all entries should be viewed with the following game settings:
Take note that there should be no penalty nor additional points awarded for including any of the mentioned visual elements of the beatmap (storyboards, skins). While we do not restrict addition of any of these elements, there should be no bias involved when setting the score thus avoid taking them into consideration.
Usage of custom hitsounds can be awarded with additional points in case they have been used nicely, however avoid penalising users for using default hitsounds as long as they match with the song.
Do not penalise entries for minor ranking criteria violations.
Ensure to write additional comments for each submissions.
Once the submissions for the contest get closed, there are two possible outcomes:
Every judge will receive a private link to their respective Google Sheet that has already been set up for work. All entries inside the Google Sheet would be annonymised and display their fake names to ensure there is no personal bias from any of the judges involved.
Unlike previous itterations of the contest, judges are expected to rank maps based on the given criterias as if they were building a leaderboard. So, for example in case there are 10 beatmaps participating, judges are required to give a place for each category from 1 to 10 with no option to set two same values for different maps within the same category. Each category has its own scaling which is taken into consideration while calculating the final score for each entry.
Once every judge has finished their judging, contest hosts will evaluate the results to ensure there was no unfair play involved from any of the judges. Once results from each individual judge have been finalised, the mean value of scores received will be used to determine the actual positions within the leaderboard.
